AscendFi is a small, concentrated team working on a technically hard problem with significant market implications. We are building infrastructure, not features — and we hire accordingly.
The Problem
Business operators are the highest-leverage decision-makers in any organization. They are also the people most poorly served by current AI systems — because those systems were built to answer questions, not to maintain operating context.
Kaelia is the infrastructure layer that fixes this: a persistent AI operating system that accumulates context, reasons from history, and generates execution intelligence without requiring the operator to start from zero every session.
This is a category-defining problem. The people who help build it will have built something that did not exist before.
What We Look For
Domain depth
We do not hire generalists at the founding team level. Everyone on the team has a specific area they know deeply — and operates in that area with independence.
Systems thinking
We build a system, not a collection of features. The people who fit here think in terms of how components interact, where things break downstream, and what compounds over time.
High written output
AscendFi is a high-writing, low-meeting culture. Most communication is async and written. If you think better in meetings than in documents, this is probably not the right fit.
Self-directed execution
We hire people who move without being asked. If you need a detailed spec before starting, or a manager to check in frequently, this is not the right environment.

AI Systems Engineering
Design and build the reasoning infrastructure that makes Kaelia's intelligence compound over time. Requires deep understanding of context modeling, retrieval-augmented generation, and structured data design.
Product & Design
Define how operators interact with complex intelligence. We build interfaces that reduce cognitive load, surface what matters, and stay completely out of the way when they don't need to be in the foreground.
Enterprise Infrastructure
Design and own the infrastructure that makes Kaelia reliable, secure, and scalable for enterprise operators. Includes data pipeline architecture, security systems, and multi-tenant isolation.
Founding Operations
Own the operational layer of the business — customer success, onboarding, revenue operations, and the internal systems that allow the team to move without friction. Reports to founders.
